Municipal elections are coming up on October 28, 2026. If you’re considering running for Municipality of Rhineland Council or simply want to learn more about what it means to serve as Reeve or Councillor you’re invited to an information session on July 8, 2026.

Location: Rhineland Municipal Office, 109 3rd Ave NE, Altona  

Start Time: 6:30 PM Duration: Approximately 1.5 hours

This session will walk you through key topics such as:

•    How the Municipality of Rhineland operates

•    Committees, meetings, and time commitments

•    Overview of relevant Manitoba legislation

•    Roles of the Reeve, Council, and Administration

•    How Council provides direction to Administration

•    Election details, including financing rules

•    Open Q&A

The main presentation will be led by Mr. Joe Masi, former Executive Director of the Association of Manitoba Municipalities and current Councillor for the City of Portage. With over 24 years of experience in local government, Joe brings valuable insight for anyone considering public service.
